my friend told me of a wonderful plan he has to create meditation centers around his beautiful gardens, that represent each chakra. i love the idea a lot. Especially since I see gardening (the weeding, planting, watering, reaping harvest) as a spiritual experience that aligns with 4 seasons and all the elements. We all should be able to care for plants, I think it is our duty to the Earth. Even on a small scale, with house plants or a window box of flowers or herbs. Everyone should grow something! AND be able to keep it alive and thriving. A plant, should be the human flag.
For the last few weeks, i have made it out to the garden daily, to weed since the weeds have declared war on the gardens. While I do it, I try and imagine all the weeds in my own chakra garden, and all the unnecessary cords I still have attached, and so I try and see myself weeding those cords out. When I pile up the weeds, or throw them in the woods, i see myself THROWING the cord away for good. I don’t know the person or people attached to the cords, I just see them. I don’t ask a lot of questions about why or who in this process. I let the visual be the visual, and allow the non-judgement space to be fine. I will not lose any cords that I should keep. I know this too. Knowing this, allows me to be free with the movie in my mind. Unraveling creative visuals, that i think are probably an accurate look at our energy field.
I’ve been working with cord visualizations for about 17 years after studying and carrying around Hands of Light, a book by Barbara Brennan about energy and the fields around our bodies, working with our own chakra centers. I love the work with cords in particular, because of all the synchronistic happenings after you pull a cord, or even just repair a cordyou are keeping. Amazing. I can’t deny, i saw , and listened and I was pretty sold on the effectiveness for me.
It’s not something that has to be done a lot. And effective weeding job can last a long time. But the weeds do come back, and so do cords as we move through life, relationships with others, and you have to go back and tune it all up. Gardening helps me follow through with my own visualization around cord pulling (weeding). Otherwise, like other things, it gets forgotten until things get way out of balance.
Plus, I get two somethings done at the same time 🙂 and I likey that a lot.
So every morning when I wake up I go out there in my pjs, and pull weeds with my morning coffee. And do my little visualization. Seems like, the weeds are being all pulled from my core area, which is chakra 3 – solar plexus. Not surprising really. I keep seeing dead, dried up cords that just need to be moved on out, like a dead old plant that used to live healthy there.
The cords will want to reattach. Be mindful of your experiences after weeding cords. People will be in touch with you, maybe people you have not heard from in a long time. Let these reach outs go for a few days until you can see clearly, and your chakra energy has realigned with all the new space you made for the flow after your weed job. It will begin to shift a little, and those connections, get healed over. Say goodbye to dead plants in your garden! They can choke out seeds you plant, and change the outcome of your Earth.
Since my weeds are heaviest in this region at the moment, I had to focus of this a bit, so I can understand and keep the flow man.

The Manipura Chakra, which means the diamond, is the energy center of personal feelings, power and sensitivity. When in balance, this energy center creates a person who is outgoing, cheerful, open and expressive, intelligent, self confident, flexible, and has a keen sense of respect for themselves and others. This person is also very decisive and has strong nerves. This person may also show qualities of being out going, cheerful, spontaneous, relaxed. This chakra can give clarity of thought and an increased awareness. It stimulates interest and curiosity.
The Solar Plexus Chakra often deals with raw emotions, like anger, frustration, and intuition or gut feelings. Being extremely sensitive, particularly to the emotions of others any blockages here can easily create uncontrolled emotions, tenseness, hostility, rage and severe stomach problems. Located between the sternum bone and the belly, it governs the will, the mind, emotions, stomach, and upper digestive tract, assimilation of nutrients, psychic experiences, rational left brain) thoughts, ego, vital energies, control, accomplishments, and the freedom to be yourself. Organization is important to this chakra that likes everything orderly and disciplined. It is the center of self esteem, power, directed will and it radiates expansiveness, warmth & joy. It quickly takes issue when feeling threatened and this can cause an even greater bridge to have to span when treating problems.
Most of us are taught from early childhood to repress our emotions and feelings. The rules of society say that we must always be practical and wary. It cautions us against exploitation. We live in a restricted society where people will often take advantage of one another, so this problem is difficult to overcome.
By repressing the third chakra, you place yourself on auto-pilot and this can cause severe emotional problems among others. Doubt and mistrust will eventually destroy your vitality if this continues. They must both be endured and finally overcome.
To aid this center, you must relax your emotions. This centre must be made more available. You must be more sensitive, laugh more, cry more, touch and feel more.
